The Players' Orchestra forms the nucleus of Creative Sounds Entertainment's Classical Division. The versatility and experience of the musicians allows them to play in various ensembles - from soloists, to duets, trios, and quartets. As the Players' Orchestra, the members concentrate on repertoire suitable for chamber ensembles of 10 or more, to a full 25-member orchestra. Founded in September 1996, the Players' Orchestra is conducted by Maestro Roeland Denooij, director of Creative Sounds. Born in Utrecht, Holland, Mr. Denooij completed his undergraduate music degree at McGill University with a concentration in instrumental conducting. This dynamic young Maestro has appeared as guest conductor with the McGill University Wind Symphony, the McGill Trombone Choir, and as associate at the Conductor's Institute of South Carolina. As a group, the goal of The Players' Orchestra is to produce innovative and enjoyable interpretations of contemporary and traditional classical repertoire. As individuals, their goal is to refine, expand and perfect the repertoire they have spent years acquiring. The Players' Orchestra is an ideal feature performance for any gala event that calls for a touch of class. A large ensemble of Montreal's most talented young musicians with a conductor as energetic as Mr. Denooij results into the kind of lively and engaging performances that are a joy to attend.
